Day1 (08 March 2019) Transfer Nyungwe National park- canopy walk/waterfall hike
Nyungwe rainforest national park is located in the Southwestern region of Rwanda, at an elevation of over 1600m, sounds and sights collaborate to create a magic experience as you journey through the majestic rainforest. The park holds the source of Africa’s great rivers, feeding the Nile in the east and Congo River in the west, and is known as the most endemic species -rich in Africa. It is a home to habituated chimpanzees and 12 other primate species, birds with over 300 species, butterflies and moths abound and the forest comprises of more than 243 species with canopy reaching 70m high in places, orchids and over 1000 plant types.
After breakfast, we will drive to Nyungwe National park for canopy walk experience/ waterfall hike. The Canopy Walkway, part of the Igishigishigi Trail, is a high suspension bridge with breathtaking views across the misty forest, and sightings at eye-level, of a number of unique wildlife inhabiting the canopies. Also While hiking to the waterfall, you will be blessed to encounter various wildlife and plant species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day2 (09 March 2019): Nyungwe Marathon
Nyungwe is not like other marathons. No registration fee. No trophies for first place. Not even bib numbers or timing chips. Nyungwe marathon keeps things simple and focus on the running, the people, and the forest.
In the morning we will head to the starting point of the marathon according to the category you registered in. After completing the marathon, we will meet at Finish Line for beers, cheers & brochettes. You can purchase a marathon T-shirt to support the event. Later we will go for After party to celebrate Nyungwe with a little music and dance on a campfire

Day3 (10 March 2019): transfer to Kigali via Lake Kivu for boat cruise
Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes. It lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift. it stands at a height of 1, 460 meters (4,790 ft) above sea level, 89 km in length and 48 km wide, covering a surface of 2700 km2 at an average depth of 240m with maximum depth at 480m, water volume of 500km3
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Kivu for a boat cruise and visit various Islands such as Peace Island, Bat Island. Later after lunch we will proceed to Kigali.
